- 16 oz lump crabmeat
- 1/3 cub of diced celery
- 1/3 cup seeded and diced red bell pepper
- 1/3 cup diced onion
- 1/4 cup freshly chopped parsley
- 1 1/2 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Steps
- Stir the crabmeat, celery, bell pepper, onion, parsley, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, lemon juice, egg, and breadcrumbs in a bowl.
- Shape the mixture into six cakes and chill them for 15 minutes.
- Heat a thin layer of oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the crab cakes for 4 to 5 minutes per side, working in batches if needed.
- Remove the cakes when browned and the egg mixture is firm throughout.
