Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light-brown sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Steps
- Heat the oven to 350 F and spread the flour in a small baking dish.
- Bake the flour for 5 minutes, stirring once, until it reaches 165 F, then cool it.
- Cook the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cream, milk, corn syrup, and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat until 234 F.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla.
- Cool the mixture for 15 minutes, then beat in the flour and chocolate chips.
- Press the mixture into a lined 8-inch square pan and chill for 20 minutes before cutting.
