Ingredients
- 2 cup red cabbage
- 1 carrot
- 1 sweet onion
- 1/2 cup crushed pineapples with juice
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp white vinegar
- 2 tsp honey
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 lb ground duck
- 2 1/2 tsp chinese five spice powder
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes
- 8 slider buns
Steps
- Toss the cabbage, carrot, onion, pineapple, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, and 1 teaspoon ginger in a bowl.
- Mix the duck with the five-spice powder, remaining ginger, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.
- Shape the duck into eight small patties.
- Cook the patties in a large oiled skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes per side, until they reach 165 F.
- Warm the slider buns in the skillet for 2 minutes.
- Fill the buns with the duck patties and cabbage slaw.
