  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 12 tbsp 1 1/2 sticks butter cut into 24 thin slices

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Spread both cans of apple pie filling in a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the filling.
  4. Arrange the butter slices across the cake mix.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, until the top is golden and the filling bubbles.
