- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 3 tbsp taco seasoning mix
- 3 tbsp water
- 1 round loaf sourdough bread
- 1 cup mexican blend shredded cheese
- 1 tbsp butter
- toppings: green onions
Steps
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Brown the ground beef for 6 minutes, then stir in the taco seasoning and water until the beef reaches 160 F.
- Cut the sourdough loaf in a crosshatch pattern without slicing through the bottom.
- Brush the butter into the cuts and fill them with the beef and shredded cheese.
- Bake the loaf at 375 F for 10 minutes, then scatter green onions over the top.
