Banana Pudding Cake

Ingredients

  • 13 1/4 oz vanilla cake mix
  • 2 boxes (3 2/5 oz) instant banana pudding mix
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 bananas
  • 2 cups crushed vanilla wafer cookies

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F and grease a 9-by-13-inch baking pan with cooking oil.
  2. Whisk the cake mix, 1 cup water, and 1/4 cup cooking oil until smooth, then spread it in the pan.
  3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the cake is set, then cool it for 5 minutes.
  4. Whisk the pudding mixes with the milk for 2 minutes, then let the pudding thicken.
  5. Whip the cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until firm peaks form.
  6. Spread the pudding over the cake, top with sliced bananas and whipped cream, and cover with crushed wafer cookies.
