Ingredients
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup panko crumbs
- 1 1/2 lb granny smith apples
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 3 tbsp milk
Steps
- Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat, add the panko, and toast for 5 minutes.
- Peel, core, and chop the apples, then cook them with the remaining butter, sugar, and cinnamon in the skillet for 10 minutes.
- Stir the cooked rice, raisins, and milk into the apples and heat for 5 minutes.
- Spread the mixture in an 8-by-8-inch baking dish and cover it with the toasted panko.
- Bake at 350 F for 25 minutes, then let the pudding cool for 5 minutes.
